I had a pleasure to teach application to Pinan Godan in Greece last weekend. Bizarrely most of the karateka there does not have Pinan series in their syllabus. It was fun training.
Good applications. (I like them because mine are very similar ;-))
I also like your style of presenting them. Your movements are always very close to the movements as you actually do them in the solo kata. That way it is easy to see how they transfer over to the applications.
Thanks for sharing, Les! We certainly do some things differently--of course, our kata are also done differently--but I can see the practical mindset. I can also see your wrestling background in there ;)
Wastelander, yes we do things differently, but thats the great thing. I enjoy watching your stuff and others, as it opens my eyes for other options :)
Wrestling have expanded my mind on Karate :) there is tons of moves within karate that we look as blocks or punches, but if you look on wrestler the same technique have so much more use.
