You're right, of course, but it's not just the striking aspect. Iain explains things differently to most. His grasp and explanation of anatomy is far greater than most Jujitsuka I've trained with.

It depends on how you're taught to throw. Several throws I teach can use the dogi. Only one that I routinely teach (eri seoi nage, also often called moroto seoi nage by Judoka) is reliant on the dogi.

Found throws for Sttrikers very good.

I train Ju-Jitsu and there are a staggering number of different throws, most of them useless outside the dojo.  Iain sticks to basic throws and not only shows different waysa of performign them, but also explains what can go wrong .
