On Saturday the 12th of September 2020, I will be teaching an open seminar in Wrexham! The theme will be the White Crane influence on karate. We will primarily explore this influence via the kata Nipaipo (no prior knowledge of the kata is assumed). Nipaipo translates as “28 Steps” and the kata was created by Kenwa Mabuni to summarise the instruction Mabuni received from the Chinese martial artist Go Kenki. We will cover the striking, gripping, takedowns, strangles, weak areas, etc that the kata encapsulates.  The seminar will run from 11am to 3pm and will take place at Brymbo Enterprise Centre, Blast Road, Brymbo, Wrexham, LL11 5BT. The cost is £30 per person (four or more students and the instructor goes free). For payment and booking details please contact Ian Nash via irnash@hotmail.com or 07703 438084.
