Iain Abernethy in Norway. Naihanchi/Tekki seminar. March 28th - 29th 2020
About Sensei Iain Abernethy: He has been involved in the martial arts since childhood. Iain holds the rank of 7th Dan with the British Combat Association (one of the world's leading groups for close-quarter combat, self-protection and practical martial arts), the British Combat Karate Association, and the English Karate Federation.
Target participants: All styles and belts. Limited places available as club members are given priority.
Main program: The practical application of Naihanchi/Tekki. Iain will cover the application and training methods needed to apply this kata is real world self-defence situations. We will cover close-range striking, trapping, clinching, controlling, escaping, and more! We will also look at how these methods can practised in compliant, semi-compliant and live drills; and on impact equipment. All drills will be fun, safe and productive. Prior knowledge of the kata is not needed.

11:00 - 17:00: Main program, 13+ y/o
Sunday March 29th 2020
09:30-15:30: Main program continues, 13+ y/o.
Cost: Saturday kids intro: NOK 50. Main program/both days. Non-members: NOK 800. Members: NOK 600.

Location/Transportation: Nesodden is a peninsula just south of Oslo. Access by ferry (23 minutes from Oslo) or by car. Dojo location is the school gymnasium behind Tangenåsen ungdomskole, Kongleveien 4, 1450 Nesoddtangen. Free parking in the school yard. Bus service to/from Nesoddtangen ferry terminal to “Tangenåsen” (five minutes). Two minutes by foot from bus stop to Dojo.
Accommodation: There are no hotels at Nesodden, but plenty in Oslo.
Lunch/Meals/Drinks: Self catering, please bring your own.
