On Saturday the 11th of March 2023 I will be teaching in Durham! The seminar will run from 11am - 3pm at Belmont Community School, Buckinghamshire Rd, Durham. DH1 2QP. The cost is £30 per person. The seminar will focus on old school karate trapping and limb control. The ability to control the enemy’s limbs is a vital close-range skill because it is needed to open up paths for strikes and in ensuring the establishment of a dominant grip. Although largely absent from much of modern karate practise, the traditional kata and older texts contain a great deal of information on trapping and limb control. Ways to drill and practise these methods will also be covered.Payment prior to the seminar to JSKD via cash or bank transfer (contact the host for payment details). For more information and to book your place, please contact Steven Beresford via info@durhamjunsuikarate.co.uk.
