What you reading right now?
Would love to know what you reading right now? What's on you bedside table? I'm just finishing off "The Ninja" by Eric Van Lustbader, I got GaiJin (James Clavell) waiting but I'm thinking of getting the next book in the "Ninja" series unless they don't follow on from each other?

Currently reading one of Iain`s books " Karates grappling Methods", with a couple more in the pipeline, hoping to incorporate some of methods and techniques into our clubs training sylabus. Books in the pipeline as follows, Practical Application of Karate, Throws for Stikers, Arm locks for all styles and Bunkai jutsu so you could say a bit of a fan.

I have a few downloaded to the Kindle.

As a newby here I have taken advantage of An Introduction to Applied Karate by Iain Abernethy.

I have a couple of Primal Blueprint books. One on fitness and the other on health, weight loss and energy.

I've just finished reading The Guv'nor. Lennie McLean's autobiography.

Tau, Tao of JKD is one of those books that is easy to pick up, read a short section and put down again. A book that should be on all Martial Artist's shelves.

Oh yes. I've had it for years. I didn't "get it" the first time, but that was probably 15 years ago, hence the re-read. Although Darth Plagueis has me gripped at the moment.

Hi,

I'm reading "how to win a fight" by Lawrence Kane & Kris Wilder, have read their "Way of Kata" also which is an excellent book.  Next on my list is "Little Black Book of Violence" again by the above authors.

I’m currently reading “The Viking Art of War” which was given to me as a gift when I taught in Norway late last year. A really interesting read!

Andy, 'How To Win A Fight' is a much-abridged version of 'The Little Black Book Of Violence'. They aren't different books. I didn't know that when I pre-ordered HTWAF. It's still a good book, but it came as a disappointment since I'd ordered it on the strength of TLBBOV.

Just finished reading Game of Thrones: Book of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin, great yarn and looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Now reading the Legends of King Arthur. I do like all that medieval knights in armour / dragon slaying / damsels in dsitress stuff, call me old fashioned if you will.

The Viking Art of War sounds interesting, any further details available to assist in sourcing a copy! The last MA book I read was Kane & Wilder: The Way of Kata (if i remember the title correctly as dont have book to hand at the moment).

Also got to say Eric Lustbader's books are tremendous especially for those with an interest in MA and / or far eastern culture. Point to note re Mr Lustbader, he was bequeathed the rights to continue writing the Jason Bourne series by Robert Ludlum.
