Hi Anf,
You are best directing all questions to Andi (organiser: andi@andikidd.com), but my understanding is:
Nope. There have definitely been kyu grads at previous events and my understanding is that all levels of experience are welcome.
I think that will be fine too. It’s obviously a practical karate event, but I’m sure practically biased martial artists from other systems will be made very welcome and get much from the event.
All the best,
Iain
Thanks Iain. I'll make some enquiries.
As far as the Bash is concerned, there is no Karate specific requirement, we have Shotokan, Wado and Goju guys (and gals) attending, plus Aikido, TKD Ju-jitsu etc.. All you really need is an open mind and some martial experience. Personally I'd suggest it may be a bit much for a total beginner but as long as you are comfortable with a bit of "up close and personal". My lowest graded adult student to attend was a 6th kyu adult first time he went and he was fine. Most of the sessions I would suggest are adult only. I'm sure Andi will jump if anything isn't correct.
