Looks like fun! I'm definitely a proponent of functional training dummies for karate for when you don't have a partner available, or for when you need to work something with more force than is safe with a partner.
Anytime I can work with a live partner I certainly do! I don't even care what we're working on. But there's times when doing a new technique combo or working Kata sections I'll do it in the air then mitts then bags/dummies/ Kakiya, etc... then sparring. I do like the dummy for mainly practicing the control portion of the movements without worrying about anyone joints or comfort!

All the best,

Very clever! Have you done a video on making one of your dummies?
All the best,
Iain
Thank you, that is good idea! I'll get to it.
All the best,
Jeb
Awesome! I think people will enjoy that! They can make a dummy and then work all the drills you have kindly shared. Thank you!
All the best,
Iain
