Get Involved in Geoff Thompson's New Feature Film

Geoff Thompson has decided to launch his new feature film, Volatile, based on a story from his best selling book, Watch My Back, using kickstarter and he wants everyone to be involved.

In order to create the powerful, beautiful creative film Geoff and his team want to, he has decided to take a step outside of the industry norm and fund the film himself. This means Geoff and his the crew can do all of the things that they need and want to make the film amazing without the restrictions and changes that can quite often be put on you when a normal production company is funding the film.

We will be using a website called kickstarter. Here is what kickstarter is all about:

"Kickstarter is a home for everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of projects, big and small, that are brought to life through the direct support of people like you. Since their launch in 2009, more than 4.8 million people have pledged over $784 million, funding more than 48,000 creative projects. Thousands of creative projects are raising funds on Kickstarter right now."

Basically, in exchange for you and lots of other people helping us fund the film, you will be offered different rewards. Everything from a free download of the script, a day on the film set as an extra or a private meal with Geoff Thompson in London. All of these things are up for grabs as well as the warm tingly feeling you will get from helping them to fund one of the first big UK feature films on kickstarter.

Kickstarter works on an all or nothing basis so, the aim is to raise £250,000 a target that we need to meet or exceed otherwise we don't get anything and all pledges are returned to the people who donated. Geoff is so excited to be able to involve everyone and the Volatile are positive they will achieve their target.

If you would like to get your foot in the door of the UK film industry this is your chance.
