Who is teaching?
An up to date list of instructors will be published on the website shortly but the line-up includes Iain Abernethy, Andi Kidd and Rakesh Patel.

Is there a timetable of sessions?
The final timetable is being compiled at present but you can arrive any time after 4pm on Friday, Saturday morning training starts at 9am and Sunday finishes at 5pm.

Do I need a licence?
You need insurance to attend the camp, this is usually provided through the licence from your club.

Am I experienced enough to come?
Most levels will get something out of the weekend; if you have been studying for a year then you probably have enough of a grasp of karate to attend

How old do I need to be to attend?
There is no lower age limit but the course is aimed at adults and some material will not be suitable for children, so mid to late teens will be welcome. If you are unsure, please ask before you book

Do I need to wear a gi?
It would be good to bring a gi as there will be gi and non gi training.

What equipment do I need?
Apart from camping equipment you don’t need any equipment but if you want to bring focus mitts/kick shields then I am sure we will find a use for them!

Can I come for only one day?
Yes, you are welcome to come for one day; the cost will be £40 and include one night of camping.

Are we training outdoors?
As long as the weather isn’t too bad, yes.

What if the weather is terrible?
If the weather makes training outdoors impossible then there will be an indoor backup venue.

Do I have to attend every session?
No. If there are too many sessions for you or you want to go off and explore something else, we won’t stop you missing the amazing training!

Can I bring my husband/wife and kids?
Yes! The campsite has other activities on site that may be of interest or you could visit the other attractions close by.

Will we have to mix with others on the campsite?
We have our own field where we will camp and train. This comes with its own shower and toilet block so we should be all alone!

Are there shower facilities?
Yes, our field has three dedicated showers

Is there parking on site?
Yes, but not next to your tent.

Can I borrow a tent?
I am afraid you will have to bring your own camping equipment but we may have some spare room in others tents, you may be best to look on the forum to see if there are any spaces!

Apart from the BBQ are you supplying food?
I am afraid not. To keep the price of the bash as low as possible we are only supplying the Saturday night BBQ food.

I am a vegetarian, can I still have BBQ?
Of course! The BBQ will cater for vegetarians but you need to make this clear when you book.

I can’t make the Friday evening, is that Ok?
That’s fine, Friday is expected to be a smaller session, the main training starts Saturday morning.

What if I have booked and I am unable to attend the event?
The booking fee is non-refundable; however the organisers will attempt to give you money back if possible.

Are the commemorative T-shirts available to purchase?
Yes, you will get a free T-shirt when you attend (size needed on booking) but if you want another (and why not), then you can order one from Andi.

What if I don’t ‘camp’?
There are three shepherd’s huts in the same field as us, if you want one of these basic structures then you could hire one, please see the camp website for details. You also could book into a local hotel or B&B; we won’t call you a wimp!

This all sounds great! How do I pay?
You will be able to pay by bank transfer or cheque. When you contact Andi to book then he will make arrangements with you.
