One minor point with regards to the photo of “Itosu” in the video. The photo that was widely believed to be Itosu since 2006, is now understood to be Sango Miyake (more here: http://ryukyu-bugei.com/?p=7741).
It’s been widely used in print and online as Itosu for many years, but it turns out it’s probably not him. I’ve changed a few YouTube thumbnails as a result :-)
That photo was brought to my attention a couple of days ago. Oh well.
I think it’s been used by pretty much everyone because the information at the time suggested it could be him. Indeed, it was accepted as Itosu for around 13 years :-) Lots of books getting revised on their next reprint :-)
